Saraiharkhu a village situated in [Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh in India]on Janpur - Lucknow road, about 18km form the city Jaunpur. A village that defines Indian culture how to live with love, brotherhood relationship with every caste and religion. It's a greenly village with green environment and without pollution with complete facilities. Area of this village is huge with large population comprising of several casts/religion.
In this village, a Bhakti Organization is running from 1932 named as "Shri Sitaram Dharm Mandal".
The main aim of this organization is to distribute bhakti and to teach rules and regulations of God "Ram Chandra" by organizing "Ramleela" during Dussehra. This organization is very old and famous, large numbers of audiences come here every year during the period. Ramleela is enacteded for five days and on sixth day, a large fair is organised in the village named as "Vijyadashmi". The main important thing about this organization is that it started with only Kayastha family members of the village as members and till date this organization of the village has more than 100 members working in different parts of the country and abroad and in important fields. Every year not only members but also audiences with family come every year for six days leaving their important work. This shows that how unity and love between peoples of this village is an example to be followed. Many great personalities also come here to see Ramleela.
Great news that in year 2007 "Shri Sitaram Dharm Mandal" is going to celebrate "Platinum Jubilee" of completing 75 years of continuous organisation of Ramleela. Residents of the village and members of this organization are very excited. They are eagerly waiting for Dusherra. Ramleela is planned along with extra events.
