Sarah Potts is a fictional character on the soap opera Shortland Street. She is played by Amanda Billing.
Sarah was recently married to Andrew Solomon but the marriage was cut short when Robyn, Andrew's ex-girlfriend came into the church and announced that she was pregnant with his baby. After Andrew left with Robyn Sarah has been in a few relationships with other men including Craig Valentine. Sarah works as a doctor in Emergency Department at Shortland Street Hospital.
Sarah has a teenage son who lives with his father in Fiji. Sarah became pregnant with him when she was a teenager and her mother and father raised him as their own son. When Sarah eventually told Daniel that she was in fact his mother, he acted out. when she finally contacted his father Daniel decided that he wanted to live with him instead.
She struggled with her love for Craig and her relationship with TK. On the day of her wedding she went to see Craig but nothing happened. She was escorted by Craig to her wedding. Toni Warner was her bride's maid. She is now happily married to TK.
Sarah has constant problems with Kip Denton and can't stand his 'immature' behaviour. But no one was on her side as they seemed to take a great liking to the new doctor. Chris suggested to Sarah that she should take a holiday for a few weeks.
On the Christmas week, Sarah returned to Ferndale and resumed her job at Shortland Street.
She is currently looking after Toni Warner after Toni had nowhere to go when she left hospital.
After many arguments and disagreements, TK and Sarah have started trying for a baby.
