Sarah Montague

Sarah Montague (born 8 February 1966) is a British journalist, best known for her work on BBC Radio 4 as a Political Correspondent and for being a presenter of the Today Programme.

Montague was born in Guernsey and attended Blanchelande Girls College, a girls' independent school in St Andrew's, Guernsey, and studied Biology at the University of Bristol. Her first job was as a stockbroker for County NatWest and Eurobond dealer with NatWest Capital Markets in London. She went into business in London the owner of Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts. She began her journalistic career with Channel Television in 1991. She joined Reuters in January 1995, and then as business correspondent for Sky News in January 1996.

She joined the BBC in October 1997, and presented Newsnight and BBC News 24, before joining the Today Programme on BBC Radio 4. She has also presented HARDtalk on News 24.

She is married with a daughter.
