[edit] After Hollyoaks
After a decade playing the role Dunn left Hollyoaks in 2006. Since her departure she has filmed recurring roles in BBC One series The Innocence Project and Doctors and an appearance in the short film "Northern Cowboys" a UK Film Council co production. She will shortly begin filming the female lead in the independent film The Best Years co-starring Vinnie Jones and Billy Boyd and an episode of Drop Dead Gorgeous for BBC Three.
In February 2007, she returned to Hollyoaks for a two episode stint. She has recently been seen as the face of PayPoint's national search for Corner shop of the year to celebrate the achievements of the UK's local convenience store retailers.[2]
Dunn is line up to play Nadine McKnight in the film The Best Years alongside Dean Cain, Billy Boyd and Aoife Mulholland. The film is currently in pre-production. [3]
She has also appeared in an episode of Big Brother's Little Brother.
In September 2007, it was announced that, along with her former Hollyoaks colleague Helen Noble and theatre actor Graham Tudor she would be teaching students at a new acting school in Liverpool.[4]
It has been confirmed that she will appear in the Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight. [5][citation needed] It is currently unknown what her role is but it is rumored she will be playing the part of Harley Quinn.
In an interview after winning their award, Matt Littler (Max Cunningham) let slip that Darren Jeffries had returned for a spectacular storyline, along with Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy Richardson) and Stephanie Waring (Cindy Cunningham), and Jeffires said he wondered if he had made the right choice in leaving the soap, and was quite enjoying being back.
