Sarah Käppler Hofmann is a fictional character on German soap opera Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love). The character is portrayed by Sina-Valeska Jung since July 11, 2006.
Sarah came to Düsseldorf to find her biological mother. A track led to Königsbrunn, who she began to work as maid for the Lahnstein family. Later, she fall in love with Leonard von Lahnstein (Lars Korten). The head maid Elke Käppler (Elke Bludau) didn't want to accept the relationship between the both of them, because Elke is the biological mother of Sarah and Johannes von Lahnstein (Thomas Gumpert), Leonard's father, is her father too. Elke told Sarah the truth and she can't believe that the love of her life is her half-brother. Leonard and Sarah ended their relationship after the truth came out. But he promised her sister, that he will always love her.
After her forbidden love to Leonard can't be, she began dating Gregor Mann (Andreas Jancke). Leonard seems jealous of Sarah's new love. And Sarah also isn't happy, when Leonard began dating her best friend Jana Brandner (Vanessa Jung). Even through they can't give up her feelings for each other, Sarah married Gregor and Leonard Jana. A short time after their weddings, the truth comes out: Leonard isn't Johannes' son. Adrian Degenhardt (Klaus Zmorek) is his biological father.
