[edit] Duplicate pages?

Hi. I notice there are two pages for what I assume is the same academic institution: Sapir College and Sapir Academic College. Can you decide which one is the one that's needed? Then we can merge them and delete/redirect as appropriate.

I've also tagged the Sapir College one as a possible instance of COI as you are an employee of the college (someone else had previously noted that the article reads like an advertisement). Please can you consider revising the article to show the colleges's Notability? Some references would help. Best regards, and welcome to Wikipedia. TrulyBlue (talk) 13:07, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I hope this helps... I think the article whose name is closest to the name in Hebrew would be the best one to use for the article - the other name can be re-directed that name. More significantly, the article does not establish the notability of the college - has the college been historically significant, does it have significant alumni? Every wiki article needs References to show the importance of the subject matter. While there may be no "tendentious or provocative contents", there is nothing to support the article. It also contains words and phrases such as 'meager', 'friendly village community', 'profoundly aware of its mission in the context of Israeli society' that promote a particular point of view. The article is basically one section ("History") and could do with splitting into history and present day. It makes comments on the attitudes of other academic institutions that are not supported by independent references ("this was a period when universities and institutes of higher education, ... were unwilling to recognize colleges in general..."). I recommend looking at good wikipedia articles to see what the style and tone is. I also recommend reading about the five pillars of wikipedia. Good luck! TrulyBlue (talk) 14:25, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
OK, but do be aware that if you blank a page that you created it will likely be deleted (but you can re-create it fairly easily). You might consider creating the page in a sandbox. regards, TrulyBlue (talk) 16:06, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
