I'm an administrator on the English language Wikitravel and a bureaucrat on the German language Wikitravel, where I go by the name Sapphire. I also have sysop status on a couple of other Wikitravel wikis.

I'm somewhat skeptical of Wikipedia, because I see a hypocrisy of "NPOV" and a stance against self-censorship. I mostly take issue with the Muhammad cartoons that sparked riots in the Middle East and Africa. Aside from that I'm sincerely glad that Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation exists, because it has revolutionized the internet and intellectual resources. I'm afraid that administrators on Wikipedia care too much, because I throughly dislike the continuous protection of articles, because this turns off potential editors and contributors.

On a side note, I don't plan on purposely learning Wikipedia's policies unless required to obtain a goal I've set so if I've done something contrary to policy please tell me.
