The Sapphire Thinkers were an American psychedelic rock band that recorded an album, From Within, in 1968. The band consisted of a total of five members. The band's founder, Bill Richmond, currently lives in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley and continues to write and produce original music. His latest work can be heard at http://www.broadjam.com/. Peggy Richmond, singer, percussionist and flutist, also lives in the Valley and has founded a pan-denominational children's choir http://la4c.com/. Stephen Richmond is now a history teacher, also living in the Valley and has worked as a comedy writer, private tennis instructor, and political activist. He professes his love for family and music.
The Sapphire Thinkers continue to have a small cult following, having been labelled an "acid fuzz" band and variously compared to the Doors and the Mamas and Papas.
