Sapahar is located at 25.1250° N 88.5819° E . It has 19770 units of house hold and total area 244.49 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Sapahar has a population of 115320. Males constitute are 50.68% of the population, and females 49.32%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 56921. Sapahar has an average literacy rate of 23.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
