SAP Composite Application Framework

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SAP Composite Application Framework (SAP CAF) is a composite application methodology that allows reuse and composition of different services, user interface components, and business processes into solutions.

SAP CAF comprises design tools, methodologies, services and processes, an abstraction layer for objects, and user interface and process pattern libraries[1].

SAP CAF also includes Guided Procedures (CAF GP), which is a framework business process modelling. Process modeling with GP does not require detailed development skills. Process templates can be created and activated using the GP design tools.

SAP CAF is based on the Eclipse 3.2 tools platform[2].
