SAO 49991 is a 9th magnitude star in the constellation Cygnus. It is a yellow giant star of the spectral type G8III, meaning it has a surface temperature of 5,000 to 6,000 Kelvin. It is therefore around the same temperature as our Sun, but larger and brighter.[1] It can be found within one degree of the star Deneb.[2]
