[edit] The template Journal reference has been proposed for deletion here

This is about six sigma page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_sigma. Some of the references have been proposed for deletion. Can some one guide me why? and what care must be taken to avoid such situations in future. Is it due to non availability of a web URL to the same? If yes, here are the URLs that can be verified:

Thanks in advance!

I looked on the talk page and couldn't find where these references were asked to be removed from the article. You have asked on the talk page - which is the best course of action in this case. Wikipedia's references don't have to be able to be viewed with a url, but it's doesn't hurt. I think you should just wait for a response on the talk page. Wikipedia:Citing sources might answer some of your questions about using referecnes.--Commander Keane 11:16, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a ton for such a prompt help! This is on the article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Sigma#References; and there reference numbers are 8 and 10. Can you please guide me now. sks 11:20, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry I still can't see where they are proposed for deletion - or why. The references don't have a link in them, but that is not important.
About the red names in the history. The names in the history link to userpages. If someone's userpage doesn't exist then it will be red. If their userpage does exist it will be blue.--Commander Keane 11:32, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for solving the mystery! sks 15:05, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
