[edit] Rainbow 7

Good job on the update of Rainbow 7.

I'm looking to get WikiProject:Hello! Project off the ground - would you like to be a part of it? --Cjmarsicano 16:26, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] *Kicks you in the pants*

I took another peek at Rainbow 7 and noticed that you forgot poor Koharu's name. You fiend! No picking on the Miracle Beam! :P

Other than that, good job on the update. ;) --Cjmarsicano 19:38, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] WP:H!P is on!

WikiProject Hello! Project is now a go!

This week's opening agenda:

  • Rainbow 7 will be in my P.O. box tomorrow morning. I'll expand on the article once I get the CD in my hot little hands, probably by tomorrow night.
  • WP:H!P member User:Sploggers (talk) created a stub for Hello! Project articles. Try to stub as many articles as necessary, especially articles for H!P recordings and participants that need to be created. The stub has already been "discovered" by deletecruft folk so we have to make use of it, although I've already been debating pretty much successfully in support of it. Again, though, much respect to Brother Sploggers for creating it.
  • The project page is up and running at the wikilink above. Please feel free to "nominate" any articles that need to be created and/or expanded in the appropriate subcategories on the Project Page.
  • Does anyone want to create an "I Support Aibon" userbox (as a subpage of their user page or maybe even the project page) for while Ms. Kago is on her forced hiatus?

Any further questions or suggestions, ask me directly or make the suggestion on the project's talk page.

[edit] Copyvio with Bakajo Test

You referred to the original source of the article as http://wiki.theppn.org/, which is a site created with MediaWiki and is lisenced under the Creative Commons deed. If it has been copied, it is legal, and the author is probably the same, though that is not significant. I will roll back the copyvio warning in a day or so, if you would like to consider it once more. Thanks.  freshofftheufoΓΛĿЌ  02:09, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

I won't pretend to know everything about MediaWiki's GFDL implementation, but basically all CC does is guarantee confidentiality on some touchy subjects that GFDL glazes over, and thus it may be problematic to publish GFDL information under CC tags, but the reverse should not be true. Now that I read the license again, it seems that the opposite is true. Regardless, none of the information is of a confidential/protected nature, and keep in mind that Wikinews and Commons are licensed under CC as well, and there's no problem publishing that information under GFDL.  freshofftheufoΓΛĿЌ  11:59, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
I really don't see the problem with blatant copying of information from a wiki promoting free distribution of information to another wiki promoting free distribution of information. Regardless, the deed detailed here sheds some doubt on the nature of the article, so I will back down for now and attempt contact the original author to find out of it was the same person after all.
On the other hand, I request that you consider your comments about notability one more time. I have no special interest in this particular (special) episode of on of (possibly the) most popular comedy program in Japanese television, but I'd like to remind you that there is no such policy that covers things like "non-notability especially in a certain language". The article does not appear to be very crufty, and there is a good amount of information here that would be impossible to merge with the larger article.
I won't argue that compared to other similar topics (i.e. other popular Japanese shows) there is an exceptional amount of detail that people who have never seen the show wouldn't fully understand, but it certainly doesn't exceed the amount of detail put into descriptions of other popular American shows such as Punk'd or 24. If the article existed, I would support a move/merge to an article detailing an entire season, and I would equally support a move/merge to the article detailing the series of Okajo episodes.
Please don't assume that everyone reading the English wikipedia is American, or European, and in some parts of the world, the most popular television shows on TV are considered "notable". The fact that there isn't yet much information on many of these shows is simply an unfortunate, predictable side-effect, it is nothing done intentionally to isolate different language versions of the wiki.  freshofftheufoΓΛĿЌ  04:29, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Hello! Project Userbox

I just made a userbox for WP:H!P so if you want to put it on your user page, it's {{User WikiProject Hello! Project}}. If not, you should still add

[[Category:WikiProject Hello! Project participants|{{subst:PAGENAME}}]]

to your user page so your name can be added to Category:WikiProject Hello! Project participants. --Chuckleberry 06:58, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
