[edit] Vla Jokes

For good humor in correctly bashing violas and their players. :)
For good humor in correctly bashing violas and their players. :)

Ha! Thanks for the jokes. I've heard of a few of those, but many of them were completely new and funny. For your sense of humor, I humbly award you this Wikicookie. Now I can spread that site around the orchestra. Cheers, Bratschetalk random 18:55, May 1, 2005 (UTC)

Thank you, Bratsche! ^_^ Sango123 20:33, May 1, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks!

Thank you for the warm welcome =) Thank you also for pointing out the anime wikiproject to me. Thus far I have only managed to complete the tutorials, but I would love to help contribute where I can!

[edit] Classical pianists

Hey! I've noticed the photo you added to the Yundi Li article and I wanted to welcome you since there aren't many classical pianists on Wikipedia :) In the last few months, I've tried to clean up and wikify all the articles on classical pianists (you can find them in Category:Classical pianists), but we're still missing some really well-known pianists. So, any help would be greatly appreciated :) --Missmarple 08:43, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the Welcome

I'm happy to be here and look forward to contributing. I see you are a fairly recent newcomer as well - I am just learning about rules governing photo uploads as well. Digital photography (of plant life and nature in general) is one of my areas of interest. Mia Goff 12:56, May 9, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Fabdabulous

Hi there, thanks for adding people to my fabdabulous page! I've just added you as well since you now have a great featured picture. Cheers, --Silversmith Hewwo 19:49, 29 May 2005 (UTC)

  • What is this fabdabulous page? Sounds interesting. Jaberwocky6669 04:41, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Removing from fabulous page

Hi, Sango, thanks very much for adding me to Silversmith's "fabdabulous" page! I do appreciate the compliment, but, well, for various reasons, I'd actually rather not be on the page, so I removed myself. It seems a little boastful, for one thing. And most of those "awards" of mine (as much as I love them!) are by way of jokes from friends, rather than rewards for real work. And, well, at the same time, a lot of people here do real work without anybody thinking of barnstarring them. And there are other things that bother me about it, too. But thank you, it was a very kind thought, please don't be offended! Best wishes, Bishonen | talk 21:38, 29 May 2005 (UTC).

No, thank you for your considerate thoughts of others (and your contributions— light-hearted ones like these and those as an admin!). I should have asked you before adding your user name. ^_^ Sango123 22:56, May 29, 2005 (UTC)
No need to ask! LOL, you'd seen the old ETPH? :-) Very glad you liked it, please contribute! It's a very collaborative effort. I haven't added anything in a long time — the treatment seems to me already quite, uh, comprehensive — but every now and then Filiocht or Giano will have one of their flashes of genius and prove me wrong. :-) Bishonen | talk 02:25, 30 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Versions of English

Hi Sango: I noticed that when you copy edited ETPH you changed "artefacts" and "discernable". These are British/Commonwealth/UK spellings and the convention here at Wikipedia is that the original spelling of an article should prevail where the topic has no obvious associated spelling. Don't worry about changing ETPH back—it is just a bit of fun—but please consider this when making future copy edits. Check out the Manual of Style for the full guideline.--Theo (Talk) 15:41, 30 May 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for notifying me of the different English spellings; I certainly will keep that in mind. But should "artifacts" be changed back to "artefacts" since both spellings are now in the article? Sango123 16:03, May 30, 2005 (UTC)
As you wish ... it is more about the process than the product. We have not yet had a spelling revert war on ETPH although we have parodied many wikipedian traditions. --Theo (Talk) 17:36, 30 May 2005 (UTC)
