Congratulations and keep up the amazing work. Dr pda (5 July 2007)
The Original Barnstar I have seen enough of you around to know how much you do for Wikipedia, and trust me when I say that you are a true asset, and Wikipedia would not be the same without you (especially during FARs and FACs!). Your expertise is invaluable. Keep up the outstanding work and thank you so much for all that you do!

Awarding Sandy the "Clam Down" award for inadvertantly causing a deletion debate, without actually having done anything. Well done, good and faithful editor! - Ta bu shi da yu (11 October 2007) Runner-up: The Ineligible Award may only be given to editors who do not meet the criteria. Enjoyment of this honour is brief, as it is usually bot-reverted within 24 hours. The Ineligible Award image is copyright; placement of the award on an editor's talk page is a violation of WP's non-free content policy. Editors who frequently award ineligibly may therefore be banned.

The Special Barnstar For responding to a 911 impartially and impeccably.

The Original Barnstar. For performance above and beyond the call of duty.

Filll (17 October 2007)

The Barnstar of Diligence. This barnstar is officially for, among other things, "extraordinary...community service". Our community extends beyond our keyboards, and I know you're still shaking from your phone call, and having second thoughts about making it, but I am fully convinced that you absolutely did the right thing. What we need more of is for folks to take the concept of "citizenship" and make it personal. There's just too many instances in life of people not making the call because they "don't want to get involved" (and if you'll notice from my user page what line of work I'm in, you'll understand why this matters to me so much). Maybe it was 99.999% sure to be a hoax...that doesn't matter. You did the right thing, and I want to commend you for it. AKRadeckiSpeaketh (16 October 2007)
The Original Barnstar Reading back over the Punk rock archive, I thought: helpful to an extreme and I've learned so much from you. So here, a long overdue thanks. (I'm tempted to use Tim Vickers 'b' word, but i wont).

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar Awarded to SandyGeorgia for protecting the encyclopedia from pseudoscience by demanding verifiable sources.

- Jehochman Talk (24 October 2007)

The Barnstar of Peace Your dispassionate review of the Galisteo article, and your calm, diplomatic comments on the review talk page, de-escalated a situation that was verging on the explosive. Your review also improved the article, and thus Wikipedia, immeasurably. Thank you. Jeffpw (4 November 2007)
The Working Woman's Barnstar SandyGeorgia, I award you the Working Woman's Barnstar for your efforts to assist in the development of Youngstown, Ohio, a working man's city, in it's attempt to become a Featured Article. While the outcome is not yet known, your edits and advice clearly improved the article.

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar For protecting Wikipedia by proving you really are SandyGeorgia by having more class and grace than anyone should ever ask of anyone else. Sometimes, when bad things happen to good people, the good people show who's who, and everyone wins.

The Special Barnstar This barnstar is for SandyGeorgia who has to put up with all this FAC bullshit and all these editors who think their articles are so freakin' wonderful who won't ever let her alone.

Moni3 (11 February 2008)

The Barnstar of Diligence In particular, your civil and tireless efforts to keep the RCC FAC on-topic have caught my notice. However, looking over your contributions, it appears that this sort of behavior is not uncommon for you. Please be aware that such diligent and polite efforts are sincerely appreciated and a boon to wiki. Vassyana (15 March 2008)
The Israeli Barnstar of National Merit In recognition of your tireless contributions especially to the Tel Aviv FAC. Thank you

Flymeoutofhere (13 April 2008)

To SandyGeorgia, I award this Barnstar of Diligence for going above and beyond the call of FAC duty. Thanks to your efforts, the FAC process is running smoothly without a large backlog. Your attention to detail and willingness to spend large amounts of time analyzing FAC comments are a testament to your desire to improve the process, and as a reviewer I am very grateful for all that you do.

Karanacs (1 May 2008)

The Special Barnstar You certainly deserve this, for all the work you do to help others on WP. Every time I've come here with a question, you have always given a useful and prompt response. You do this for everyone else that comes here too, as well as contributing insightful commentary to discussions, working incredibly hard on articles, and leading much of the featured content process. Thanks.

Creatures of Impulse
Thanks for the advice on polishing up the article at the FAC, helping nudge it over the last hurdle - a mere month and two days after the article was created =) Shoemaker's Holiday (talk) 01:08, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Who is Sandy Georgia? - "Sandy is a complicated person in real life. She passes her time in simple surroundings, trying to deflect the worship of those who know her and use her gifts to help others. She has been hunted as a fugitive, cursed as a tomb-robber, and is renowned as a lover and duelist. She is a worshiped as a God in Honduras, but is an outlaw in Peru. No living man knows her real name, as she only whispers it into the ears of those she is about to kill. All love her and hate her, she is SandyGeorgia." -- Tim Vickers [1]

  • Finding an audience at FAC – a keeper from Yomangani:

He obviously needs to add in the info about the video game featuring a dinosaur which is based on The Simpsons episode in which Gwen Stefani sings about Ethelred the Unready and Mary Wollstonecraft failing to join the expedition after they were blown away in a hurricane during the battle of Pearl Harbor. That might attract some reviewers. ;) Yomanganitalk 19:32, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Nice job on "Miss Ima"!
To SandyGeorgia, who originated and organized the collaboration to bring Ima Hogg to featured status; thank you for your encouragement and even your prose :) This was a really enjoyable project which produced an excellent article about a great lady.

[edit] To the First Lady of (April)-Tomfoolery

The Fat Man is pleased to present his favourite taskmistress with this vile, pungent wheel of wriggling Casu marzu in recognition of her heel-nipping, whip-cracking, arm-twisting, irrefutable-offer-making illustriousness. The product of her beneficent tyranny is evidenced here and, like, a zillion other places. Please age this cheese in a cool, damp place (away from direct sunlight) until a suitable occasion arises for its reemergence. Enjoy responsibly.

Barnstar of Murder, Madness, and Mayhem
On behalf of Murder, Madness, and Mayhem, this barnstar is to thank you for your hard work and patience in motivating, mentoring, and moulding the work of student editors, and helping them to achieve excellence in research and writing. For all your hard work, here and generally at WP:FAC, but especially perhaps now for your homesick moment at a taxing time. Thank you so much!
For the entire class of UBC's SPAN312. --00:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] barnstar of nomination thanks

Barnstar of Nomination Thanks
Sandy: Thank you so much for suggesting, encouraging, and nominating my RfA. None of this would have happened, let alone so surprisingly smoothly, without you. Thank you for your thoughtful and careful (and far too generous) nomination, for keeping the tally ticking, and for generally watching over things. And thank you above all for putting your trust in me. I do hope to deserve it. And whenever you need someone with administrative tools for some FA-related task, just shout. Again, thanks so much. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 15:11, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
