[edit] "Most Japanese Believe"

Is it apprpriate to say that most Japanese people believe this? That is, to say, I did not realize that this was still widely considered a fact, even in modern society.--Sotaru 23:59, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Popular culture reference

I removed a reference to an anime series episode which had a reference to the river as I don't think it adds to the article in any way.--Swift 21:11, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eurocentrism

It is inappropriately Eurocentric to refer to this as a "version of the River Styx". That wording implies that the River Styx myth is a "default belief" of sorts, which it isn't--this is a separate tradition with a separate history. --Grenadier (talk) 02:18, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
