[edit] Oriente vs Santiago de Cuba
Oriente is not the same as Santiago de Cuba. Why when I am searching for Oriente do I get another province? - (unsigned - User:Phattonez - 08:53, 26 June 2006)
- There isn't an article about the historical province of Oriente yet (but it would be welcome). Oriente is a redirect to Santiago de Cuba Province, as the Oriente province was called Santiago de Cuba before 1905. While not very accurate, cubans still use the two terms when referring to either Oriente or Santiago de Cuba. Qyd(talk)16:27, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
