Why is this considered spam? I thought spam was unsolicited/unwanted email?

  • Spam on Wikipedia is any article written to promote a product, service, organization, etc. Basically the problem with this article is that it reads like a press release instead of a neutral encyclopedia article. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 14:22, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
  • I'm not sure the article is blatant spam. It may need a rewrite, but I would not delete it under criterion G11. Rsreams needs help formatting his references and such. I can assist. Rsreams, can you find the details for the articles (authors, dates, titles, newspapers) so I can help you format them and rewrite it? Leebo T/C 14:28, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I've added a references section to the article, as well as the official website link. I've removed the deletion tag for now, and replaced it with a rewrite tag. I do want to note, however, that these 3 articles may not be enough to satisfy the requirements of Wikipedia:Notability. They are local in scope and somewhat brief. Other sources would help a lot, to prevent the article from being sent to articles for deletion. We may want to convert the references to inline citations when we rewrite it.
