[edit] Blatent advertising

This is pretty much directed at whoever 88.106.234.181 is (and I do have a pretty good idea believe me). Please refrain from posting links to the online merchandise shop, whether it's reasonably priced or not and also listing the three main people who run Santa Pod on a day to day basis. It's pretty obvious this post was from someone within the company, who else would know of the people mentioned on the page and who else would use the phrase "very well managed by" unless they were either conducting an in joke or self-glorifying. Please keep Wikipedia exactly as it was meant to be, a free, useful knowledge database free from bias, commercial or political influence and those desperately seeking a few strands of publicity.

RE: == Blatent advertising ==

I don't think Wiki is the place to make speculative comments about who is responsible for the edits, however, I agree that naming staff and commenting on how well something is or isn't managed are not useful remarks suitable for Wiki, so agree with the edits. One thing is for sure, and that is that the early versions of this page were copied and pasted directly from the Santa Pod website at the time, and were not written originally for Wiki. Where they came from I cannot tell.

[edit] Location

Can I just make the point that regardless of what the Santa Pod website says, the dragstrip (and Podington village) are in Bedfordshire, not Northamptonshire. I've lived within 5 miles all my life and it annoys me when people get it wrong (I know it's silly). If we could leave the page with the correct information on it, that would be fantastic. Thanks.

RE: == Location ==

Despite the above message the county is still being changed. On any OS map it is clearly within Bedfordshire, likewise travelling from Rushden to Podington a sign clearly welcomes you to Bedfordshire. Only if you're Royal Mail is it in Northamptonshire (even the area code for Airfield Road is 01234). If you have ever been there and seen any Police vehicle, you will notice it is the Bedfordshire constabulary, and within the parish of Podington which is indisputably Bedfordshire. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.22.191.83 (talk) 18:37, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
