[edit] Stanford connection

Many parts of the geology collections are a result of donations from Stanford University, when they excavated heavily in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Stanford used to have a geology field school near Santa Cruz, this was in the early year's of the univiersity. 71.198.215.250 (talk) 23:35, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
