Is there a reason for a link to a "forun" with no posts and a web site "comming" soon? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.126.34.230 (talk) 14:15, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

There are three red herrings in this game. What about guy dancing with the red fish in The Courtyard and Chapel?

  • Good find. I tried to work it in, if someone could revise it for clarity if needed I'd appreciate it. 68.60.18.222 21:07, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Interesting, never made the connection before! It is known that some parts of the game were left undeveloped due to deadlines (i believe it was known this would happen entering development, just not to which pieces..), and I wonder, pure speculation, if this is at all related to the cleanup phase, or a marking that something is included because someone went out of their way to develop it, but it didn't quite work in the plot because other pieces were missing for a scene. This would definitely be a question worth asking anyone from the development team, who would remember for sure.

- The red herrings were just a visual pun. Only one designed section was cut (more for technical reasons than due to time), an action section for "Grimwall vs. The Hive". Aside from that, the original Grimwall level was completely tossed out and redesigned during development because the original wasn't working out. The Hive setting came about due to an office poll: "What creeps you out?" "Bugs" was the most common (or maybe just most convenient) answer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.89.221.176 (talk) 20:14, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

  • The programmer "outburst" is, almost certainly, a reference to the Offspring's "Bad Habit"--which contains that exact phrase. Dunno if anyone wants to work that in, or knows of the phrase being more common than that. FangsFirst 04:20, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Music

"Inside the file RES.001 (entry #40) there is a remix music which we never hear in the game."

This is not true, the music is played at the end of the game, during the credits.

I can confirm that the music is played at the end of the game, during the credits. The music is not played when the Show Credits button is pushed, so to hear the music you have to complete the game. --ReCover 18:08, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Sorry about the mistake. I also can confirm that. I've changed the description to be accurate. --alexfont 14:30, 30 May 2007 (GMT)

[edit] Levels in Sanitarium

I added a view link for the first 4 levels we have. The view shows the complete scenario of the scene without any actors or objects in it. Hope to put view options for every level. --alexfont 08:57, 5 June 2007 (GMT)

[edit] Defective disks

Is it true, as the guy in the XP compatibiligy guide (http://home.earthlink.net/~infernofilecabinet4/XpSetupsP_T/Sanitarium_Setup.htm) says, that there are defective disks of this game that blow up in your system? I want to know.

I've tested right now my original version of the game and it seams to work fine. The first and third discs do a little bit of noise, but nothing serious. I also have the v1.01 FINAL / BUILD 851 version which I think is the one without the lockup bug in the 2nd chapter. Anyway, I always play and manage the game files with a backup CD I made and never with the original ones, indeed to protect them from scratches and things like this. --alexfont 21:03, 26 June 2007 (GMT)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Sanitarium box art.jpg

Image:Sanitarium box art.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
