Talk:Sangir Island
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Please note that "Sangir" (aka "Sanghir" and "Sangihe") is not a single island but a group of 77 islands. The largest, Sangir Besar, is where that volcano, Gunung Awu, is located. Most importantly, the Sangir Islands have nothing to do with Moluku as was stated in the article; these islands are an extension of Sulawesi Utara (North Sulawesi) both physically and ethnologically.
