Damn. And here I am, having thought Sandy Petersen was a woman for the past ten years. I always thought it was rather cool that a woman worked in this genre (which seems to be rather male-dominated), especially on a project like DOOM (which seems to be even more so). He wrote a game review column for dragon magazine for a while. (In fact, I remember that he quit when he went to work for id.) But I don't know the years.
