[edit] Disputed status

  • Without some evidence to support the statements, I think this should go into the Votes-for-Deletion bin, but I wanted to wait on that until some time to provide supporting evidence had passed. Thanks for considering adding supporting evidence. Courtland 18:23, 2005 Feb 26 (UTC)

[edit] Yes, she wrote songs

The credits for "Cat's In The Cradle" list both Harry and Sandy Chapin as authors, as does the song "Tangled Up Puppet" (see "Harry Chapin: A Legacy in Song" ISBN 0-89524-327-X). While certain musicians do provide writing credits as a method to split income / royalties, it does not appear to be the case here, as very few songs were attributed to both Harry and Sandy.

I recommend retaining this stub to properly attribute Sandra Chapin as co-writer of the song "Cat's in the Cradle"; it did after all hit #1 twice (Harry's recording and Ugly Kid Joe's version as well).
