[edit] Sandor Kopasci

A tag has been placed on Sandor Kopasci, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Sandor Kopasci is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on Talk:Sandor Kopasci, explaining how Sandor Kopasci is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.Jose jr 04:21, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More addition yet to come

I believe that this wiki page has the potential to become a good article as: the web page in italian. I originally started because I rented out the book from the library by him "In the Name of the Working Class" which is his autobiography and I refrenced him in the George Jonas article. I hope I am not the only one interested in adding more info.

[edit] Reasons for keeping the article

Mr Kopácsi was a prominent participant in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, and brought the Budapest Police, of which he was the Chief, over to the side of the revolutionaries. He took refuge in the Yugoslav Embassy after the Soviet invasion, as part of Imre Nagy's entourage. On leaving the embassy under a false promise of free passage, he was kidnapped, together with Imre Nagy and the others, and eventually tried and sentenced to death - this senetnce was then commuted to life imprisonment. He certainly deserves a place in the Wikipedia as a result of his major role in the 1956 Revolution.

The title of this article should be changed in order to conform with the correct spelling of Mr Kopácsi's name; however, I do not know how to carry out such a change.
