[edit] A correction.

According to H.A. Rose whose book has been used as a reference for explaining Sandhu clan mentions that Jatts have Scythic origin. Sandhus being jatts belong to the same race (Scythians) and Sindh Punjab is considered as their old dominated area. As mentioned on the main page of the article that Sandhus originated from Ram Chander's lineage actually contaradicts the theory of origin of Sandhus given in the same book that has been used as reference for writing the main article, H.A. Rose. Ayodhaya is in Uttar Pradesh which is totally disjointed from state of Punjab and hence Sindh. *None* of the books about Jatt history and origin claims any non-scythic origin of jatts. Jatt is not a caste. It is a race and being *One* race it has *One* point of origin not multiple.

i am a sandhu and proud of it.

Can someone please clarify is Maharaja Ranjit Singh was really a Sandhu, as this is the first I have herd about it.

Hi I am a Sandhu (Harpreet Singh Sandhu) and this is the first time I have ever herd that Maharaja Ranjit Singh is a Sandhu. I have a keen interest in Sikh history and wondered if there are secondary sources to confirm Maharaja Ranjit Singh is a Sandhu because I have yet to independently confirm that Maharaja Ranjit Singh was a Sandhu let alone a Jatt.
