[edit] Categories
- I'm not sure how to categorize this. Can someone help me with this. Thanks. Regards, SoilMan2007 (talk)

- Possibly Category:Lawn care, Category:Landscape, Category:Agricultural soil science or Category:Agronomy -- you decide what is most appropriate. Kablammo (talk) 03:53, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability
- This page has several references and has been edited and approved by an expert in the field. I'm not sure how to deal with the warning about "general notability guideline". Can someone be specific about what needs to be done with this page. Regards, SoilMan2007 (talk)December 5, 2007. —Preceding comment was added at 18:52, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

- This page is a useful adjunct to the article on Turf management, but would not fit well into the latter page's organization. This article is referenced and cites reliable third-party sources; it could be improved by in-line cites to the sources and page numbers, either by a footnote system or Harvard referencing. I believe the page was created by SoilMan2007 and his student(s), who have contributed much valuable content to Wikipedia in the fields of soil science and agronomy. The subject is notable, and I am removing the notability template. Kablammo (talk) 03:26, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikification
To "Wikify" the article means to provide links to Wikipedia articles on uncommon terms. The authors should read the article carefully and determine what terms might be confusing to a general reader, and search for appropriate Wikipedia articles on them. A lot of time you can simply put a pair of brackets and on each side of a word and a link will appear; but be sure and click on the link thereby created to make sure it is the right usage.
For example, the term "amendment" may not be known to people who do not engage in gardening or agriculture. You would not link to Amendment, as that is a disambiguation page. You could link to Soil conditioner, but that may not be term you want to use. You can however write it [[Soil conditioner|soil amendment]], which will appear as soil amendment; or as [[Soil conditioner|amendment]] which will appear as amendment; both link to the proper page. Don't go overboard by linking common terms, (see Wikipedia:Make_only_links_relevant_to_the_context) but keep in mind that terms or usages well-known to you may be foreign to a layperson. [edit] ASTM Sand-based field standard
I think that any current discussion on sand-based athletic fields should reference ASTM standard F2396 which cover this topic for sand-based athletic field construction. 75.107.254.65 (talk) 18:04, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
