Talk:San Francisco (typeface)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello! I really liked the crazy font San Francisco when I first saw it years ago. Imagine my delight when I heard of Saint Francis, a TrueType version that wasn't limited to the original's 18 point size at 72 dpi. Alas, I have so far failed to get my hands on a working copy.
The one the article links to renders wrongly on my Mac (OS X 10.4.10) with the lowercase letters all shifted along one. If I type "abc xyz" then change the font to Saint Francis, it displays "bcd yz{". Other versions that I have found on the Net are simply reported to be corrupt by Font Book. Would someone please advise? (Is this an appropriate place to ask?!)
Also, the font shown in the images must be Saint Francis, not San Francisco, which would pixelate horribly at that size. SkiSkywalker 23:58, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
