Sanulrim (산울림, 1977~), also spelled as Sanullim, is a South Korean power trio rock band. They are probably the first rock band who gained musical achievement from K-pop or themselves, not from US/UK scene. In spite of their originality they tried to experiments from song for kids to progressive/psychedelic rock. They never copied other musician's song. The name is 'san'(산, mountain) + 'ullim'(울림, echo).

[edit] History
Like Gentle Giant or the Bee Gees, the three members of Sanullim are brothers. Kim Chang-wan(김창완, vo. gt., 1954~), Kim Chang-hoon(김창훈, bs., gt., 1956~), Kim Chang-ik(김창익, ds.1958~2008).
Before debut, college band Sand Pebbles won The MBC College K-pop Festival (1977) with Kim Chang-hoon's song '나 어떡해(What Shall I Do)'. At that time Kim Chang-wan's the other song gained high rate on elimination match. So they tried their first album and it became big hit and contemporary classic same time.
During 1977-1984, they released 10 or more albums and helped other musicians. And with K-pop retrospective boom(1990s) their all the albums reissued and tribute album was released. They sometimes do concert till now.
Kim Chang-wan is actively performing as a musician, actor, writer and broadcast celebrity. He was one of the villain roles in the hit South Korean Medical drama, White Tower and has just finished filming The First Shop of Coffee Prince as his role as Mr.Hong.
All the SanUlLim members actually do not reside in Korea at the moment as Kim Chang-hoon resides in Los Angeles with his family and Kim Chang-ik resides in Vancouver, BC with his family.
