Santa Maria de Lamas ( Portuguese meaning Saint Mary of the Mud (however Lamas is in its plural form) is a Portuguese civil parish(Pt.freguesia), located in the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira,in the district of Aveiro,in the sub region of Entre Douro e Vouga"Between the Douro and Vouga(Rivers) and part of Oporto(Porto)Metropolitan Area. It has a population of 5,120 inhabitants and a total area of 3.92 km². The village also became town on September 25, 1985.
