Santa Maria a Monte is a comune in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region of Tuscany.

The town lies about 45 km west of Florence and about 25 km east of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,266 and an area of 38.3 km².[1]
Santa Maria a Monte borders the following municipalities: Bientina, Calcinaia, Castelfranco di Sotto, Montopoli in Val d'Arno, Pontedera.

Cappelletto is a rural village of about 100 inhabitants, which is rapidly increasing. Cappelletto lies in the countryside near a woodland.
The village and località of Falorni has about 120 inhabitants (2005) and is situated about 80 meters above the sea level. Around Falorni there is a large portion of woods and cultivated areas, especially with olives. The place is situated in the low woody hills called Cerbaie. The only business situated in the village is a restaurant.
