Santa Fe muzik Fest

The Santa Fe Muzik Fest festival aimed at revitalizing the music and art awareness for Santa Fe, New Mexico and surrounding states. With community partners, Santa Fe Muzik Fest took place at the Downs race track south of Santa Fe, just off I-25. Over 25 acres of grass and rolling hills were utilized for this festival.
Founded in Santa Fe in 2007, this outdoor event is based on a specific format consisting of Music, Art, Performance and the celebration of Santa Fe's weather and location. Santa Fe Muzik Fest's goal is to bring together people from all walks of life with a little bit of everything for everyone. The Santa Fe Muzik Fest featured three days of Music including both main stream and local artists as well as underground electronic Dj's and performers.
Overall, the Fest was a complete success. It allowed lesser know groups to show their talents and well known groups to be seen at a fraction of the cost. There was alcohol sold on the premise but thankfully it was kept to secluded areas of the grounds to keep things tidy and clean. Camping was offered to those who chose to do so, but unfortunatelty no shower facilities were avaliable. Security was very good at keeping everyone safe and happy.
Hopefully with all the way things went in 2007 there will be many more Muzik Fests to come!
