Santa Fe Independent School District

Santa Fe Independent School District is a public school district based in Santa Fe, Texas (USA).
In addition to Santa Fe, the district serves parts of League City, La Marque, Hitchcock, and Dickinson.
The district was a petitioner of the United States Supreme Court case Santa Fe Independent School Dist. v. Doe, which held that student-led, student-initiated prayer at football games violates the Establishment Clause of the United States Constitution.

Students in district schools may wear solid colored collared or turtleneck buttoned or pullover shirts. Students in all grades may wear campus or district T-shirts and high school students may wear university or college T-shirts. Students in all grades may wear solid-colored trousers, which may be of jean or slack material. Female students in all grades may wear solid colored skirts or dresses; denim dresses are permitted. High school students may wear overalls, solid colored wind pants, and sweatpants. Students in grades PreK-8 may wear shorts.[1]
