Santa Cruz is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Marinduque, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 60,055 people in 12,014 households.

In 1942, the occupied by the Japanese Imperial forces entered in the town of Santa Cruz, Marinduque.
In 1945, the beginning of the Battle of Marinduque entered to the Philippine Commonwealth troops taked in Santa Cruz, Marinduque fought the battles attack by the Japanese Imperial forces in the Second World War.
