Santa Barbara Bank & Trust was founded in 1960 and operates 49 branches between Los Angeles, California and San Jose, California under its name as well as that of San Benito Bank, South Valley National Bank, First National Bank of California, and First Bank of San Luis Obispo. Pacific Capital Bancorp is the holding company for these entities as well as wholly owned subsidiaries Morton Capital Management and RE Wacker & Associates. Pacific Capital trades under the symbol PCBC on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.
