Sansi (nomadic)

Sansi is a nomadic tribe (population ca. 60,000 in 2002 AD)[1][2] originally located in the Rajputana area of northwestern India but expelled in the 13th century by Muslim invaders and now living in Rajasthan state as well as scattered throughout India. Their language is Sansiboli, Sansi or Bhilki that is a highly endangered Indo-Aryan language of the Central group, total speakers ca. 60,000 (2002).[3][4] Their traditional occupation has been acestral family tree record keepers for village people in South Asia. Historical records (over 900 years old) show they are not connected with other groups, called Sansi by coincidence, they are a completely different groups. [5]
