[edit] History
In 1955, the Sani Resort (or the land which would become it) was nothing but marshland. The only building which stood on the site was the Kassandra Rural Prison. One of the prison wardens, Georgios Apoxoudis, says "Andreadis and Zisiadis (the proprietors of the resort) were mad coming here. All it was a jungle, infested with mosquitoes. The first view they had of Sani was from the sea, at sunset, and this must have heartened them. Look where we are now!" From a desolate marshland into a luxury resort in little over 35 years - quite an achievement.
