Sangen-Jaya Station (三軒茶屋駅 Sangen-jaya-eki?) is a train station located in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. It is located at the merging of two highways, Route 246 and Setagaya-dori, just outside the central area of Shibuya. Historically, people coming into Tokyo from the countryside would stop in Sangenjaya for a rest before entering the heart of the city. This is where the area got its name, since Sangenjaya means "three tea houses".[citation needed]
