Sangeli

Sangeli is a village in South Konkan Region in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is famous for its cool environment and its own Girijanath Temple. The yearly festival of Girijanath falls one day before holi, a Hindu Spring Festival.
How to be there: Catch a bus from Sawantwadi from nearby city like Punjim, Mumbai or Pune. From Sawantwadi catch a local bus for Sangeli.
Good season to be there - Rainy season, if you want to enjoy Maharashtra's Cherapunji.
