Sang Hun Lee, M.D. (September 5, 1914 - March 22, 1999), was the author of several books on "Unification Thought," the philosophical treatment of the teachings of the Unification Church, was the church's authoritative author on this subject matter. He also wrote Communism: A Critique and Counterproposal, and was the church's authoritative author on this subject matter as well. These books, although subordinate to "Divine Principle", are considered of primary importance in the Unification Church.[citation needed]

The Unification Church asserts that, following his death, Lee has conducted a number of seminars in the spirit world,[citation needed] and has relayed testimony from deceased U.S. Presidents endorsing Sun Myung Moon.[1][unreliable source?]
