Sanford-Brown Institute - Iselin opened in 1984. The school is an additional location of the main Sanford-Brown campus in Jacksonville, Florida.
SBI - Iselin offers programs in Cardiovascular Technology, Advanced Massage Therapy, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Surgical Technology. Programs can typically be completed in nine to seventeen months.
Graduates in good standing of SBI programs have the ability to audit any course in the program from which they graduated. Alumni may do so on a space-available basis and there is no fee for the service.
In 2003 Career Education Corporation (CEC) purchased Sanford-Brown Institute.

The Sanford-Brown – Iselin location offers certificate programs in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, Medical Assistant, Advanced Massage Therapy, Surgical Technology and Pharmacy Technician.
The Surgical Technology Program at Sanford-Brown Institute in Iselin, New Jersey has earned the top ranking in the "PAE Elite Twenty Program" by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST.)

All applicants are required to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative, either in person, telephone or by email. In addition to the personal, each applicant must: complete an application form, execute all enrollment documents and submit proof of High School graduation or equivalent.

Sanford-Brown Institute is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges (ACICS.) Sanford-Brown Institute’s Medical Assistant Program and the Surgical Technology Program at the Iselin campus are accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES.) The Surgical Technology Program and the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at the Iselin campus are also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP.) The Sanford-Brown Institute, Iselin campus is licensed by the State of New Jersey Departments of Education and Labor and Workforce Development, Division of One-Stop Coordination and Support, School Approval Unit. The programs of the institute are approved for Veterans training in the State of New Jersey. Sanford-Brown Institute participates in the American Council on Education (ACE) College Credit Recommendation Service.

The SBI - Iselin, New Jersey campus is located on the second floor of an office building in the Woodbridge area. The school has 16 classrooms including one imaging lab, six computer labs, one wet lab, one surgical technology lab, a CPR Room and an EKG room. There are administrative and faculty offices as well as a student lounge and reception area. The imaging lab is equipped with a Holter Monitor, an UltraSim simulator, and ultrasound scanners capable of performing general and specialized procedures, including color-flow imaging. Standard equipment includes a film library of case studies, dedicated video monitors, still and moving video images, reference books, light boxes, journals, and audio-visual aids which complement curriculum objectives. The administrative medical assisting lab houses computers and the clinical medical assisting lab houses equipment for urinalysis, hematology, sterilization, EKG, blood pressure and CPR.
