Sandwip (Bengali: সন্দ্বীপ) is an Upazila of Chittagong District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Sandwip is located at 22.4833° N 91.4417° E . It has 45389 units of house hold and total area 762.42 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Sandwip has a population of 272,179. Males constitute are 49.68% of the population, and females 50.32%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 122,499. Sandwip has an average literacy rate of 35% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
