Sandviken is an industrial town (pop. 24,000) in Gästrikland, Sweden and the seat of Sandviken Municipality, Gävleborg County, situated about 25 km west of Gävle.
Note: As Sandviken means the sandy bay there are numerous other places of that name throughout Scandinavia.
