Sandra Stotsky

Dr. Sandra Stotsky, Ed.D. is a noted advocate of strong academic standards for K-12 as well as for prospective teachers. While serving in the Massachusetts Department of Education from 1999 to 2003, she developed K-12 standards for every major school subject that are considered among the best in the country by independent academic experts.

In 2005, Massachusetts students had the highest state averages on the NAEP tests for mathematics and reading, in both grade 4 and grade 8.

In 2006, She was appointed by Governor Mitt Romney to serve on the Massachusetts Board of Education.

Stotsky is a noted critic of progressive / constructivist / multicultural education reform.
