Not to be confused with Sandgate Castle (further to the south), or Sandown Castle on the Isle of Wight.

Sandown Castle was one of Henry VIII's Device Forts, built at Sandown, North Deal, Kent. Now demolished by the sea, it was identical to Walmer Castle when they were constructed.
