From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sandon High School is a secondary school in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent.

In 2004, the school hosted 786 students. [1]

In 2003 it was awarded Beacon School status as a Business and Enterprise College, leading to a government grant which gave funding for a new £15 million building, which is currently under construction.

The school's facilities include a 150-node computer network, swimming pool, multigym, recording studio, and language lab. It has links with various businesses across the country, including HSBC.

The current Headteacher at Sandon is Barbara Hall, who has led the school for over 20 years.

A new school building is being constructed under the Building Schools for the Future programme, with Phase I set to open to pupils and staff in February 2008.
