Sandnes is a part of Sør-Varanger in Norway, located about 10 kilometers south of Kirkenes between Bjørnevatn and Hesseng. The place has its own primary school.
The local sports club, Sandnes Idrettslag, runs one of Finnmarks best cross country arenas. Within 2008 the slopes will have FIS-apporval and can arrange world cup races. Sandnes cross country arena will then be host for two of the races in the planned competition Tour de Barents, which will be held in March 2008. Sandnes also has an alpine skiing resort, run by the same sports club, which is called Sandnes Alpine Center.
