Sand in Taufers (Italian: Campo Tures; Archaic (1050 AD): Tufres, Tuvers, Tufers, Touveres, and Taufers) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 110 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 70 km northeast of the city of Bolzano, on the border with Austria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,944 and an area of 164.3 km².[1]
