Sanctus (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sanctus was a death/black metal band from Southern California that existed between the years of 1996 and 2004. They originally released a three-song demo tape in 1998 under the name Pantheon. After securing a deal with Metal Blade Records, the band changed their name to Sanctus. In 2000, the band released their first and only full-length album, Aeon Sky. In 2004, the band recorded the self-titled/self-financed EP, Fateshifter, which was only distributed directly through the band. Sanctus broke up shortly after the release of Fateshifter.
In February 2008, a discography/memorial site (sanctusmusic.com) was set up for digital distribution of the band's rare recordings, the Pantheon demo and Fateshifter EP, as free mp3 downloads.
