Sanaz is a Persian/ Turkish female name possibly meaning full of grace. It is originally the name of a flower. The word "Naaz" in the Persian vocabulary signifies glory, elegance, young, pride.
Sanaz is compounded of two words: 'san' and 'az'. In Turkish, 'San' means likeness and 'az' means few. So the meaning of Sanaz is 'unique'. It is used in Turkish speaking parts of Asia, including Iran.
Loosely translated it means 'with pride'. The Persian variant of it has no link with the Turkish variant. It can also mean 'full of grace'. It depends on how you translate it.
Although it is believed that Sanaz is a Turkish name, it is mostly used by Persians, although is not spoken by a majority in Iran. The official language is Persian and the most common minor language is Azari which is a dialect similar to Turkish.
There are similar Turkish names such as Ianaz. Other similar Persian names include Shahnaz, Tannaz etc.
